I have practiced with this kettle for years and have a deep respect for it. I think of it as a Land Rover: an understated elegance product of strength and capability. Its heft keeps the water piping hot right to the teapot mouth. It is big, but not too big. The silver button attached to a heavy lid adds just the right amount of bling (and Qi sparkle) for those who know what to look for. A rich coat of minerals on the inside speaks to decades of use with good spring water. The texture is entrancingly stone-like and my palm will remember this texture for decades. Yes; I have caressed this kettle, and so will you. If I could have only one kettle this might be it. It will take good care of you for both gong fu and bowl: the pour is good and the water is excellent.
